It is a wonderful thing to see game companies trying to outperform each other, not in numbers, but in how much they respect their players. We all know that keeping the player base happy will get you a long way. We all know that one of the best parts of Wuthering Waves is the characters, and pulling your favorite one, after a lot of hard work, is arguably the best feeling you can have. And now, a new event is looming, and Kuro has prepared a reward for dedicated players.
You Can Get a Free Xiangli Yao During the Upcoming Event
On August 15, Wuthering Waves will get its 1.2 version, titled “In the Turquoise Moonglow”. The official statement is: “Participate in the “By Moon’s Grace” event and earn Popularity for the Moon-Chasing Festival. From 9/07 (Server Time). Players with enough Popularity can claim the 5-star Resonator Xiangli Yao for free on the Moon-Chasing Festival Preparation Event “Converging Paths” page.”
Unfortunately, we have no info on how that event will work, for now. As you’d expect, the fans went wild.
Fans Ecstatic For the Free Five-Star Character
Pulling a Five-Star Character takes a lot of work and luck, so being given one for free is widely appreciated. Both Reddit and X are on fire with positive reactions. Redditor Particular-Key-9619 said: “Kuro might be Santa at this point.” and Melon763 jokingly added: “I woke up from surgery to find I’m getting a free 5* character? Did I die?”
On X, the situation is even crazier. Positive reactions are all over the place. Er0GeniuS posted: “we’re not even at the 1st year anniversary and we get our 3rd free 5 star. WOW.”, while comments like “I love you Kuro” and “Kuro is the best” are flooding the comment section.
With a free character, everyone is asking: what’s gonna happen on the anniversary event? If a five-star character is given just for an update, we can’t wait to see what Kuro will give us on the first WuWe anniversary (May 22, 2025)
