The release of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is nearly upon us, and fans are gearing up to jump back into the world of Star Wars. A sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, fans will be following the same cast of characters as Cal Kestis and his crew set out to defeat the Empire.
While we know this game is a sequel to Fallen Order, many are unsure of where Jedi Survivor will fit into the timeline. Fallen Order ended ambiguously, meaning there are many directions the narrative could take going forward.
This guide will set the stage for Jedi Survivor so that fans will know when the game is set, and what they might expect from the upcoming title.
When Does Jedi Survivor Take Place?
Jedi Survivor is set five years after the events of Fallen Order.
Fallen Order ended in a way that allowed the narrative to go in many directions. Cal Kestis, the protagonist, had managed to get his hands on a Holocron containing a list of Force-sensitive children in the universe, foiling Darth Vader and the Empire in the process.

However, Cal understood the danger the list presented to the children, especially if Cal chose to try and use the list to rebuild the Jedi Order. As such he destroyed the Holocron, protecting the children but putting an end to his only lead towards rebuilding the Jedi Order.
We don’t know what Cal has been up to for these five years, but we can be sure that his goals remain the same. Now that Darth Vader has personally been bested by Cal, we can assume Darth Vader will play a part in the story as well.
Reviews for the game look fantastic so far, so fans will be more than happy to continue their journey will Cal and the rest of his crew.
