Everyone is different. We all have different experiences, lead different lives, and have completely opposite likes and dislikes, as well as different points of view. Valorant players showed just how different we all are when they shared their unpopular, and sometimes polarizing, opinions.
Players Share Their Unpopular Opinions on Agents
One player, AllthingskinkCA, started off by sharing what they thought was an unpopular opinion about Reyna but turned out to be quite a common stance. This player said: “Every game has a Reyna. The pub stomp character that’s low floor, high ceiling. Also, her eye seems like it has invincibility frames, cause it takes multiple shots to kill which is bulls**t IMO”.
Several players were quick to agree with this statement. A Redditor, slyroooooo, added: “Agreed. Not to mention it’s an instant win for her in a 1v1 duel if she throws it out anywhere near your screen, and it’s practically zero risk since she can just dismiss away after picking up the kill. It has almost zero counterplay and feels awful to play versus”.
Other controversial opinions regarding Agents include the ones about Astra and Harbor. A player, corroderp, noted: “Riot is WAY too scared to make Astra and Harbor more viable controller options. The proof is in maps like Abyss and Icebox”.
Serito disagreed: “We had the Astra meta which was quite obnoxious, followed by the double controller meta which featured Harbor Viper on Pearl specifically, which a lot of people didn’t like watching because of the visual clutter”.
Different Players Have Different Tactics in Valorant
Other than unpopular opinions regarding the Valorant agents, the players had some about the gameplay as well. According to some players, some community members don’t understand how to use tactics, they just use brute force.
SolidStateDynamite pointed out: “Most players are too bullheaded to actually play the “tactical” part of this tactical shooter and just let their egos dictate their matches. So now I play Gekko, Fade, Sova, etc. At least that way I can use my util without getting dogpiled for denying my teammates their egos”.
Another player, eratesis, agreed: “A lot of people don’t know how to play smokes even if they main the smokes. It gets really annoying when you’re trying to take space and they smoke you off to “protect you”, like lemme do what I do”.
Well, as we stated, everyone is different, and with a player base as big as Valorant’s you’re more likely to find like-minded people. As you probably know, we are always for as much diversity as possible. Facing opponents with a different approach is always fun. How about you, do you have any particularly unpopular opinions regarding Valorant?
