Valorant Players Solve the Dilemma of What to Do if You Win the Pistol Round

All the players, especially the rookies, face this problem. You’ve successfully won the Pistol round, and your team didn’t agree on whether to save up or buy better guns. The situation becomes messy, as some save up, others buy, and no one has any idea what they’re doing. Then, the second round humbles you all, and you basically didn’t achieve anything. Well, it doesn’t have to be like that. Devoted Valorant players share advice that solves the dilemma of what to do after winning the Pistol round.

Should You Buy or Save up After Winning the Pistol Round in Valorant

Probably annoyed by the uncooperative teammates, one player, -UltraFerret-, took to Reddit to finally solve this problem for all the players. They noted: “Whenever your team wins the first round, you should never save but get the best guns you all can afford. The team that lost the Pistol round will be at an economic disadvantage and will likely save. By buying stronger guns, your team will be way more powerful than the enemy team”.

This is extremely sound advice. If you save up, the Second round will be almost identical to the Pistol round, or maybe you’ll be at a disadvantage if the opposing team splurged on some new weapons. At the end of the Second round, you’ll end up buying weapons anyway, so better do it early and give your team an edge.

Difficult_Exam763 stated: “It has many more benefits. Bigger gun advantages also mean cleaner rounds and fewer deaths mean a better bonus. A good bonus sets up a great 4th round where enemies don’t have a full buy and your team can even have some Ults. Valorant is a momentum-based game, always keep using it”.

We’d say that using momentum and sticking together will win you every round. Communicating with your team clearly and working together really makes all the difference. It separates the winning team from the losing team.

Valorant Players Share Exceptions to The Solution of the Dilemma

As you might have expected, according to some Valorant players, there are some crucial exceptions for this solution to the dilemma of what to do after the Pistol round win. On those rare occasions, you’ll probably be better off saving up than investing in new weapons.

The first exception would be when you are the only one that wants to buy new weapons. Remember, teamwork makes the dream work. One player, aitacarmoney, explained: “The advantage of buying 2nd round is your whole team does it. If only one does, you might as well go to their spawn and press G because it’s not the strat you think it is”.

CeilingBreaker added: “The only exception is if you’re doing the FPX (now Navi) buy but you need to communicate to your team that’s what you’re doing and actually play around it. What baffles me the most though is when people will save after winning Pistol, but force when they lose it”.

So, cooperation is most definitely key. Thankfully, you can always count on the Valorant community to help you out, whether you need some tips or just some general support. Try out playing by these rules, and we’re sure you’ll do just fine. If not, you can always add them to the list of unpopular opinions.
