With the new Episode 8 almost upon us, Valorant has officially released all changes they are implementing to Lotus and the returning map, Icebox. Undoubtedly, these changes will be for the better and will bring more balance to the game. With that in mind, let’s dive in and see all map changes to Lotus and Icebox in Valorant.
Valorant – All map changes on Lotus
All three plant sites on Lotus have suffered some changes, making for more balanced and interesting gameplay.
A Site changes
The first drastic change can be seen in the space around the breakable wall towards A Site. The area is redesigned into a classic square look, giving defending players more room to manoeuvre. Furthermore, boxes are added for extra cover.
Additionally, the inside area of the A Link has been expanded, creating more angles for players to use.
The central structure of the A Site was also changed. The passageway that went through the middle is now walled off.
B Site changes
On the B Site, the planting area has been reduced, and the room has been expanded allowing for more interesting options for crossfire on the site.
C Site changes
On the other hand, C Site has been completely changed and now favours attackers more. A double-stacked box toward the defender spawn has been replaced by a single box in the corner. Additionally, the entire planting has been redesigned.
The single box toward attacker spawn has been replaced by two rows of double-stacked boxes.

Valorant – All map changes on Icebox
Finally, Icebox is returning to the map pool with Episode 8, replacing Haven. Everybody is excited to see all the new changes to the coldest map in Valorant.
Attacker Spawn changes
Starting with the initial Attacker Spawn area, the storage container in front towards Mid has another container stacked on top.
B Site changes
The container in the middle between Attacker Spawn and B Site has been raised so you no longer need to crouch to get beneath it. This means that this lane is now a more open approach to B Site.
B Site Snow Pile changes
Unlike other changes, the greatest redesign has been done in this part of the map. Containers were added to close the gap between B Kitchen and the middle container stack. This reduces entry points to B Site and closes the line of sight from B Kitchen to the site itself.
Middle Tunnel changes
A window has been added on the side of the tunnel towards the middle of the map,
In addition, boxes were added to the inside of the tunnel itself for extra cover.
