Clove’s Abilities
Clove’s abilities revolve around taking risks and immortality. This is represented in their unique mechanics and ability combinations. The following are the explanations for all of Clove’s abilities:
Ruse (E)
Clove’s signature ability once equipped will show you a top-down view of the battlefield. Clicking Fire will mark the spots where Clove’s smokes will land and Alt-Fire will create them. In addition to blocking the vision in a selected area, these globes act as smoke. Unlike other agents that have smoke abilities, Clove can use this ability after they have been eliminated in a round.
Meddle (Q)
Once thrown, the fragment of immortality essence will explode after a short delay, decaying all who are caught in the radius. Moreover, this will make the life force of enemies caught in the blast deteriorate, making them easier to deal with. In addition, Meddle is extremely useful when combined with Clove’s other abilities.
Pick-me-up (C)
After assisting or eliminating an enemy you can instantly absorb their life force to get a temporary health and movement boost.
Not Dead Yet (X/Ult)
When your ult is ready, you will have a couple of seconds to Activate Clove’s ultimate after being eliminated. This will bring Clove back firstly as a spectre, and after a few seconds, they will resurrect. This new life does not last forever, and after a set time you will die again. Luckily, time spent in Not Dead Yet can be prolonged by earning kills or assists.
Clove’s Role in Valorant
Clove occupies the Controller role in Valorant. As we can see from their abilities, they are meant to be played aggressively. Furthermore, the new agent is a great addition to the roster of Valorant’s agents and will make a good choice for all players who like taking risks.
Clove’s Gear Progression
