Season 2 is right around the corner. In just a couple of days, we will see a ton of changes in TFD. A bunch of new events are scheduled, there are new Twitch Drops, we’ll see Keelan added to the roster, Ultimate Sharen, Fellows, Void Vessels, new Skins, and much more. On that last note, we already saw some reveals for the new skins, and the closer Season 2 gets, the more details we have. Recently, Nexon posted some higher-res images of some of the new skins and the fans are pretty excited. However, the new Valby Evolution Skin is a bit of a letdown.
Fans Excited for the Upcoming Skins for The First Descendant Season 2…
In the first Season 2 broadcast, TFD devs revealed a bunch of skins that will be added to the game with the new season. Unsurprisingly, everyone was amazed by the skin for Hailey (the one looking like a spikier version of Twisted Worship), but the others are pretty cool as well.
On December 4, Nexon showed some of the Skins in more detail and the fans love them. Starting with the most obvious one, Hailey’s Skin gets the most praise. “Buying Hailey’s immediately,” by Material_Ad8989, and “…Also HOLY that Hailey Skin” by SimpKingKen are just some of the praises, even though some fans are not sold on her shoulder spikes. And of course, we can’t avoid the comments pointing out the fact that she’s a bit skinnier than usual in that new skin.
Moving on, the fans love Bunny‘s new Skin as well, jokingly adding some Zootopia references. “Officer [Judy] Hops skin,” said Alexastria. Others are hoping she’s have flashing police lights when using her Speed of Light Skill. “And that instead of her saying “get out of the way” and do the laugh that she does she says “pull over” and “wiiii oooh wiiii oooh wiii ooo’” added emilbost. Honestly, that would be the best change TFD ever had.
Lastly, everyone noticed that the skin for Keelan looks a lot like the Black Panther. “They’re giving the black guy a Black Panther skin…” said MechaAO, and “Damn Keelan giving Black Panther vibes“ added uneducatedDumbRacoon. A bit cheeky, but still cool!
…But a Little Disappointed With Valby’s Evolution Skin
Unfortunately, not all of the skins were received warmly. TFD has special Skins, called Evolution Skins, that change appearance and get “upgraded” when you complete a certain task. The best example is Ajax’s Mk Dominator Set, which starts off looking very “light”, and getting more and more bulkier and awesome as you progress. That is the general idea behind every Evolution skin.
The next Evolution skin we’re getting is for Valby, named Liberated Ocean. However, according to the provided images, the changes, the “Evolution” if you will, are far from impressive. Barely anything looks different, and the fans are disappointed by it. You can see a ton of comments saying that, like “Everything looks great other than Valby.” by BirthRightz, “Will not be buying the Valby evolution skin, because it doesn’t look special at all like the first 2 evolved skins.” by FrustratedGame4, “Val is my main and I’m not impressed. Her ultimate is better by far” by f_loriginal, and “…I don’t care about the Valby skins since they all look the same” by ggalindo23.
Hopefully, she has some cool special effects to make up for it. Nexon is doing a really good job when it comes to skins so it would be a very unpleasant surprise if Valby’s Evolution skin turns out to be plain and unexciting. We’ll know more in just a couple of days.
