Not all great weapons have to be of Ultimate rarity in The First Descendant, and Eternal Willpower proves the point. Just like Tamer, this weapon can deal tons of damage that rivals its Ultimate counterparts. The best part is, you don’t have to grind for hours to get it. Both beginner (if they progressed far enough) and veteran players can get their hands on this weapon without much hassle. So, let’s see how to get Eternal Willpower and what is the best build for it once you get it.
How to Get Eternal Willpower
Eternal Willpower is a Rare weapon, meaning you can either get it as a random drop or complete Missions that offer it as a reward. Since the former relies on a small chance, the latter is the better option. It requires you to head to Agna Desert (unlocked after you defeat the Dead Bride Colossus) and do specific Missions there.
So, the best way to get Eternal Willpower is to complete the Baggage Transport Base (Battlefield Mission), in the Vermillion Waste zone of Agna Desert. The firearm has a 50% drop rate in that Mission, so chances are you’ll be getting this gun in your first or second run (unless you’re really unlucky). The mission itself is not terribly long, so repeating it will not take too much of your time.
Alternatively, there are two more Missions in Agna Desert that have a 50% chance to drop Eternal Willpower as a reward, and those are Red Sphere (Normal Mission), in the Miragestone zone and Storage: Vulgus Strategic Outpost (Zone Recon Mission), in The Storage zone. However, these two missions require more effort and time to complete, compared to the Baggage Transport Base Mission.
Best Build for Eternal Willpower in The First Descendant
Eternal Willpower has a pretty high ATK but suffers from a smaller Magazine size and high Recoil. The best build for Eternal Willpower improves the firearm ATK, Critical Hits, and Fire Rate, and reduces the infamous Recoil. Shockingly, we will not do anything about the magazine size, since the increases are percentage-based, and that will not result in a meaningful improvement. Here’s our best build for Eternal Willpower, but bear in mind that best builds are subjective, and your experience and impressions might differ from ours.
Concentration Priority | Increases weapon’s Critical Hit Damage and Reload Time |
Insight Stabilizer | Reduces Recoil and Increases the weapon’s Critical Hit Rate |
Fire Rate Up | Increases weapon’s Fire Rate |
Reload Insight | Improves weapon’s Reload Time and Critical Hit Rate |
Rifling Reinforcement | Increases weapon’s ATK |
Electric Enhancement | Adds Electric ATK |
Note that you can switch the Electric Enhancement for any other “element”. If you have space for more Modules, consider adding those that improve Recoil or Reload even further. Furthermore, if you find yourself out of ammo pretty often, consider taking the Normal Impact Rounds Refining Module, which will turn found Impact Rounds into General ones.
Eternal Willpower is a great all-around weapon to have in The First Descendant. Its high damage is great for both mobs and bosses and Descendants that don’t rely on specific Ultimate weapons are the best candidates for it, like Enzo or Kyle for example.
