Victim escapes from Slaughter family's farm in Texas Chain Saw Massacre

Wondering if you’ll be able to play Texas Chain Saw Massacre on the Switch? We’ve got you covered. Read on for more information about developer Gun Interactive’s plans for a Nintendo Switch release.

Gun Interactive’s game rendition of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre brings the characters from the 70s horror film to the forefront in a 3v4 free-for-all between the Slaughter family members and their unfortunate victims. Yes, this includes the franchise mascot, Leatherface. Fully exercising its release across virtually all platforms, you can take on friends in multiplayer, fulfilling your role as either a killer or survivor. As asymmetrical horror games like Texas Chain Saw take the spotlight on ninth-gen systems, however, Nintendo Switch gamers continue to miss out on new game releases, and it doesn’t look like this is changing anytime soon.

Is Texas Chain Saw Massacre Coming to Switch?

Sadly, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre game is not available to play on Nintendo Switch consoles, and there are currently no plans set in motion for a future release. For the time being, it looks like bad news for Switch players.

Considering the system is routinely criticized for its lacking capabilities, the news may not come as a surprise to many gamers. Oftentimes, new game releases receive a later launch date on the Switch than its ninth-gen counterparts as a means to remedy any withstanding issues. However, we’ll just have to wait for any additional information from publisher Gun Interactive regarding a potential release on the system.

That being said, other asymmetrical horror experience multiplayer games within the genre are playable on the system, namely Dead by Daylight and Evil Dead. Although the latter iconic franchise is still in development for the system, this has offered some hope to horror gaming fanatics who continue to wish for new releases on Nintendo’s current console.

While you can’t play Texas Chainsaw Massacre on Switch consoles, the game does boast cross-platform compatibility on current and last-gen systems, including PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. Those in need of a horror fix on the Switch might instead opt for a Dead by Daylight session to satisfy their bloodthirst while we wait for any updates from Texas Chain Saw developer, Gun Interactive.
