Is Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League a Sequel to Arkham Knight?

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is confirmed to be a part of the Arkhamverse, namely the fifth installment in the popular series of games. The following are the first four entries:

  1. Batman: Arkham Asylum (2009)
  2. Batman: Arkham City (2011)

Is Batman Still Alive In Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League

A recent trailer from DC’s own YouTube channel shows Batman confronting the Suicide Squad as an antagonist in the game. This confirms that despite Batman’s apparent death in the climax of Batman: Arkham Knight, the Caped Crusader will be making a return in this upcoming game. Batman will be voiced post-humously by his original voice actor Kevin Conroy.

Batman’s return in this game further proves many players’ theory regarding his survival at the end of Arkham Knight. This was after the many indications pointing towards Batman masterminding the Knightfall Protocol at the conclusion of Batman: Arkham Knight to fake his demise and start his superhero persona anew. However, despite plenty of clues, the official Arkham canon hasn’t yet recognized this theory.
