Street Fighter 6 Release Date
Capcom will be bringing the sixth installment of the Street Fighter series very soon to PC and consoles. Street Fighter 6 is set to change a few things up in the long-storied fighting game franchise, but feel relatively similar to its previous installments. Although, when is the game actually coming out? This guide will help answer the question of the Street Fighter 6 release date and what the game is about in the latest entry in the series.
When is Street Fighter 6 Coming Out?
Street Fighter 6 will be releasing on Friday, June 2, 2023. It will be launching simultaneously on all platforms including PC, PS5, PS4, and Xbox Series X|S. The Street Fighter 6 release date also includes both the single-player and multiplayer modes.
While SF6 does contain bonuses for pre-ordering beforehand, getting early access to the game is not one of them like other new releases. The game will be available to everyone on PC and consoles worldwide on Friday, June 2.
What is Street Fighter 6 About?
Street Fighter 6 takes place after the events in the Street Fighter 3 series of games, which would make SF6 the latest game in the story of the franchise. The World Tour story mode is a bit of a departure from previous games as the player does not choose any of the available cast of characters, but will create their own fighter however they see fit.
The story has the player-created fighter takes combat lessons from new character Luke at Buckler Security in Metro City, which is actually the setting from the Final Fight games. After the tutorial, players will then be able to explore the city and get into street fights. The SF6 roster will make appearances throughout in the player’s journey, and even teach players new fighting styles.
