Does the Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection have multiplayer?
Yes, the Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection features multiplayer in the game. As was the case with the original games, this collection includes online play for up to 64 players. Which will allow for massive battles across many famous planets and space locations in the Star Wars universe.
Players will be able to play as soldiers of famous armies from the setting, Wookiees and Droidekas, just to name a few. Moreover, you can drive iconic vehicles like AT-STs and Speeder bikes. Furthermore, if you’re fighting in space, legendary starships are there for you to pilot from X-Wings, to infamous TIE Fighters, and more.
Does the Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection have Crossplay?
Unfortunately, the Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection does not have crossplay support. Developers Aspyr confirmed that cross-play is not a feature in the game. Nevertheless, the game offers an option of cross-generation multiplayer. This means that players on PS5 and PS4 will be able to play in multiplayer together, but will not be able to join games with Xbox players, for example.
Hopefully, the developers will change their minds and we might get crossplay at a later date. Because multiplayer is a big part of the game, along with a release across multiple platforms, this would be great news for all fans of Star Wars games. For now, however, we will just have to wait and see.
