The criminal system in Star Citizen isn’t nearly as bad as it used to be since players are far less likely to find themselves in prison. However, nevertheless, getting thrown in prison can be a major pain because of how much time you have to spend. Well, fortunately, you don’t necessarily have to spend time and can just break out. We’ll be guiding you on all you need to know about breaking out of prison in Star Citizens. After all, why spend time in prison when you can be scouring the galaxy instead?

How Do You Break Out of Prison in Star Citizen
To break out of prison in Star Citizen, players will have to use a four digit code to stop a large fan in the prison’s main area from spinning. The fan, when stopped, will give players access to the caves which they can navigate through to get out.
Before starting, however, we highly recommend you have a friend or other player in the server who can pick you up. Otherwise, things can get rather difficult for you when you eventually find yourself outside again. To make things easier, we’ll be going through everything in a step by step fashion.
Step 1. How to Stop the Fan
Have you found yourself in prison and want to escape but don’t know how? Well, the first thing you have to do is head over to the area just before the mine shaft. As you enter the area, look toward the right to find a service room with a screen near the back that will be displaying a four digit code. Note this code down somewhere since you’ll be needing it shortly.
Now, head back to the main area where you’ll find a large broken fan on the wall. This fan will be your main getaway ticket in just a bit. Before that though, head up to the vent and enter the code you collected to stop the fan from moving. The now still fan will give players easy access to the caves.
Step 2. How to Get Through The Caves
Players have to be quick in navigating the cave system, otherwise, they risk running out of oxygen. Just before you reach the surface, however, keep in mind that you will come across a small service room. Inside, you’ll find two codes that you should write down somewhere as they’ll come into use shortly.
Continue following the path until you finally reach the rover bay. Here, find a terminal and input the code you wrote down back in the cave’s service room. Enter the rover quickly since chances are you’ll be low on oxygen at this point. Fortunately, the rover is a safe environment and you won’t have to worry about your oxygen depleting in it.
Step 3. Up Up and Away
With your character in a rover, you now just have to get far enough from the prison to ensure turrets don’t shoot down your ally’s ship. Communicate with the other player and settle on a specific location to meet. When you reach there, all that’ll be left to do will be to get on the ship and fly to a different planet. Congratulations, you’ve successfully escaped prison.
