To get out of the Shovel Cave in Sons Of The Forest, you only need to turn around and start returning the way you came. Don’t worry, you won’t have to return to where you entered the cave. On your way back, you’ll see a mutant called the ‘Sluggy’ blocking an area on the left side of the cave. Use explosives to kill it, and then follow the path to exit the Shovel Cave.

How To Kill The Sluggy
To kill the sluggish mutant, you will need explosives, preferably a Time Bomb or a Grenade. Fortunately, you should already have located some Grenades in a container while you were making your way toward the shovel. Use any explosive you have, throw it at the Sluggy Inside, and wait for it to get blown up to smithereens.
