How To Make Friends in Roblox on Xbox

There are three different ways you can add a user in Roblox on Xbox with all three being used for different scenarios. These ways are:

1. Adding a player using their username
2. Adding a player using their Gamertag
3. Adding a player while in a game

Naturally, we’ll be going through all three of these methods with step-by-step instructions.

How To Add a Player Using Their Username on Xbox

The first and most common method of adding a player in Roblox on Xbox is by using their username to send them a friend request. To do this, you have to:

1. The first thing to do is either launch the Roblox app (both mobile and desktop work) or visit the Roblox web page.
2. If you don’t already have a Roblox account, then make one and log in.
3. Go to the navigation menu, three dots at the bottom right for mobile, or three lines at the top left for PC and click on friends.
4. In the search bar toward the top of the screen, type the username you want to send a friend request to.
5. In the search results screen, identify the account you want to send a friend request to and click the ‘Add friend‘ option either at the bottom of their name or next to their avatar (depending on what you’re using) to send the request.

How To Add a Player Using their Gamertag on Xbox

If you want to play Roblox with your friend without adding them to your Roblox friend list, it’s possible as well as long as you both have a Gamertag linked to your Roblox accounts. If you do, this is what you can do:

1. Press the Xbox button on your controller
2. In the menu that pops up, click on people and then find someone.
3. Search up the Gamertag of the player you’re looking to add, ensuring the spelling is correct, and then select send request.

How To Add a Player While in a Game on Xbox
