Trying to figure out how to evolve your Dipplin into Hydrapple in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet: Indigo Disk? You’re not alone. We’ve got you covered with details about evolution items and more.

The Indigo Disk DLC for Pokémon Scarlet & Violet is now available to play, taking you to Blueberry Academy in the Unova region for an all-new adventure. In the second half of the expansion, you’ll explore new areas like the Terarium, where all kinds of Pokémon can be found throughout four different biomes. You’ll even encounter brand-new species, such as Hydrapple. To add this Pokémon to your Pokédex, you’ll need to evolve your Dipplin from The Teal Mask. However, you’ll have to get your hands on a special move first. Here’s how to evolve your Dipplin into Hydrapple in the Indigo Disk DLC.

How to Evolve Dipplin into Hydrapple in The Indigo Disk

To get your Dipplin to evolve into Hydrapple in the Indigo Disk DLC for Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, you’ll need to teach it the move Dragon Cheer. There are no leveling requirements to trigger the process, making the task at hand just a bit easier. That being said, Dipplin doesn’t learn this move naturally. This means you’ll first need to get your hands on its TM.

Once you have what you need, just go into your bag and select Dragon Cheer to teach it to Dipplin. This alone won’t cause your Pokémon to evolve, so you’ll need to level it up once more to seal the deal.

Unfortunately, Dragon Cheer isn’t one of the moves you can learn to craft at the TM Machine in Scarlet & Violet. However, you can obtain TM226 by simply progressing through the Indigo Disk DLC naturally. You’ll earn this move as a reward for defeating BB League Elite Four member Drayton. The Dragon-type specialist is stationed in the Polar biome, so you’ll have no problem catching Ice-type Pokémon to gain an upper hand in battle.

One you best Drayton, you’ll have the move you need to evolve your Dipplin into Hydrapple. For more tips on Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, check out these additional guides from our team:
