Some weeks ago, we heard rumors that the next PlayStation DualSense Controller would be themed around Helldivers 2, and the rumors proved true as it is now officially available for Pre-Order.
Themed DualSense Controllers are nothing new. In the past, Sony released a bunch of them. For example, we had one for Hogwarts Legacy, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, God of War Ragnarok, and Astro Bot. They featured thematic designs, to correspond with the game they’re linked to. And now, a new themed controller is on the way, and the rumors are true. It is themed around Helldivers 2.
You Can Pre-Order PlayStation Helldivers 2 DualSense Controller Now
The wait is over. The Helldivers 2 DualSense Controller is officially available for Pre-Order. If you visit Sony’s shop, you can easily find it. According to the prices listed in the shop, the Helldivers 2 DualSense Controller costs £74.99 / €84.99 / $84.99. Currently, it is only available in Europe and our friends in the US, Asia, and other parts of the world will have to sit tight for a bit longer. The official description says:
“Lead the charge for democracy across a besieged galaxy with the DualSense™ Wireless Controller – HELLDIVERS™ 2 Limited Edition.
Eliminate bugs and bots with the Super Earth Ministry of Defense’s sleek new hardware, sporting the iconic yellow and black armour paint scheme. The power to defend liberty is in your hands.”
It is styled in the standard Helldivers color scheme (black/yellow) and features their logo (the skull) in the middle. Some buttons even have tiny descriptions of what they do in the game, like Circle for Dive, or Triangle for Comms.
As for the official release date, the Helldivers 2 DualSense Controllers are supposed to roll out on Thursday, February 6, 2025. So in about a month and a half, you could get your hands on the most Democratic Controller in the world. Super Earth even guarantees improved performance using this controller!
The price is a tiny bit higher than the regular Wireless DualSense Controller (usually priced at £64.99). But this controller is geared towards collectors and the fans of Helldivers 2, so paying £10 extra shouldn’t be that much of an issue.
