Recent announcements have finally addressed the burning question, “Does Persona 3 Reload have FeMC in its storyline?”. In the gaming world, female protagonists are typically referred to as FeMCs. While the Persona series has had its fair share of them, fans are still unsure whether we’ll get to see one in the newest Persona game.
Is There A FeMC in Person 3 Reload?
Unfortunately, the Persona 3 Reload version won’t have any Female Main Character (FeMC). In an interview with Famitsu, Persona’s producer Ryota Niitsuma confirmed that there’d be no female protagonist in the upcoming game.
While we weren’t given an exact reason for the lack of female representation, we can still speculate. For one, their appearance has always been non-canon in the Persona series. We’ve only seen female protagonists be featured in the Portable re-release. Other than that, there’s no instance of a FeMC in a modern Persona game.

Does that mean a FeMC is completely out of the question for future Persona titles? Not at all. There’s a distinct possibility that Atlus might be saving a FeMC version for future DLCs or maybe even for the Persona 3 Royale version. Considering how well-received Kotono Shiomi was in Persona 3 Portable. We might see the producers cash in on the FeMC’s popularity and release her as part of an extended or enhanced version.
