Are you stoked for the release of Palia, but a bit concerned whether the game is region locked? Worry no more, for we will provide you with an answer to that.
Palia, the new MMORPG from game maker Singularity 6, has been well-received by players who prefer a laid-back gameplay while playing alongside friends. However, few questions remained. One of them includes whether the cozy MMORPG is region-locked. If you’re one of the folks who has the same burning question, read this article to find out.
Is Palia currently region-locked?
As of writing, there’s no confirmation from game developer Singularity 6 whether Palia is region-locked or not. Nonetheless, on the game’s FAQ page, it was noted that “at Beta, the MMORPG will be available in North America and Western Europe.” Despite being limited to just a couple of regions, the developer assured players that they have plans to add more regions in the future.
Meanwhile, players from regions other than the above-mentioned recently checked the Epic Games Store if they could play the game. They got a message stating that the content is currently unavailable in their platform or region.
Players outside North America and Western Europe will just have to wait for further announcements from the developer. In line with this, it was also confirmed that Palia will be available (at Beta) in the following languages:
- English
- French
- Italian
- German
- Spanish
The devs also stated that more languages will be added in future updates.
Can I change the region/server in Palia?
There’s no option to switch regions/servers in Palia as of yet. However, there’s a possibility that the devs might add such a feature in the long run.
Singularity 6 recently published a blog post announcing that they’ve added dedicated servers for the European Palians. This is a welcoming development since players in that region have been calling out the developers about them being crammed into North American servers whenever they log into the game.
