What to Do if the Patch Disembowled Your House in Once Human?

The latest update for Once Human had a strange effect on some players’ properties. Many Once Human community members reported that after the patch their house was completely ruined. Lots of players noticed that some items and materials were missing and everything was a mess.

Many Once Human Players Were Left Without a House

Affected players took to Reddit to share their tragic stories. One of them, anon68444, stated: “My house is in 2 pieces. I moved about 200 yards yesterday and now half my benches, my water collectors, and random walls are 200 yards away at the original location. I also can’t deconstruct them since they disappear and are too high. Great fun”.

Dozens of other players experienced a similar issue. TheDepressedSolider reported: “I lost my home as well. Couldn’t play last night because of the update. Had time to play today, and now it’s broken. I’m enjoying the game. Just trying my best to be patient about it and telling myself at least it’s free and I didn’t pump money into the season pass”.

It wasn’t long before exasperated players started threatening to leave the game. Honestly, we get it, working hard and then losing it all must be extremely frustrating. One Redditor, itz_butter5, said: “All I have left are ceilings, even all my storage and mats are gone, this is a dealbreaker for me if they don’t fix it”.

Also, it seems that relocating your house makes it worse, so whatever you do, resist the urge to move. Unfortunately, some players had to learn the hard way. One of them, otheruser16, noted: “I think I made it worse, I tried to move to a new location in the hope that it would fix my house data when I did the move, it’s just a white silhouette, it’s gone completely now”.

The Developers Promise Everyone Affected by the Patch Would Be Compensated

Thankfully, the developers were quick to react. On the official Once Human X account they promised that every house affected by the patch would be fixed. The statement read: “Dear Metas, We have received feedback regarding item and territory losses after yesterday’s maintenance. We apologize for the inconvenience. Both problems have been identified and are currently being resolved as quickly as possible”.

They added: “For Metas who encountered the item loss issue while using the Deposit function, we will send the lost items to you via in-game mail along with additional compensation. For Metas who experienced territory loss, we will repair the affected territories and return the lost items and building materials to your territory Vault. You will be able to check the returned items there. Additionally, we will provide extra compensation to the affected Metas”.

Now, we would call acknowledging the issue and working on it the first step in the right direction. All games encounter issues and it’s encouraging to see the developers actually addressing them and apologizing for the inconvenience. We hope they’ll be able to fix the problem soon because the community is understandably getting restless. In the meantime, try to stay positive, be patient, and, for the love of god, don’t move your house.
