One of the most important late-game resources in Once Human is Acid. This material is used to craft various things from gunpowder to other high-grade materials, gear, and consumables. So players will need to find ways to get large amounts of it fast. Luckily there are ways to farm Acid in the game, so continue reading and we will share everything here.
How to Get Acid in Once Human
There are three distinct ways to acquire Acid in the game. It can be looted from specific enemies once defeated, and crafted using an automated Acid Farm. Alternatively, players can take a Sulphur Chemist specialization, and make Acid that way. Using all these methods will reward players with this material, and it comes down to the preference on which one is used.
How to Get Acid from Enemies in Once Human
Defeating enemies in Once Human will drop loot, and Acid can be one of the things they drop. If this is the method players have chosen to farm Acid, we recommend crafting and using Preserved Deviated Chops. Once used it will boost the amount of Acid dropped by enemies by 50% which will speed things up nicely.
Moreover, players can use the Production Facility events, which are located in many settlements around the map, to attract large amounts of enemies at once. Using these machines requires Blackfell Refinery and Extraction Permits, luckily, these can be found easily by looting crates. Once started the event is based on defending the facilities from waves of enemies, which can drop Acid once killed.
Another way to farm Acid by killing enemies is to hunt down Deviants. This enemy type has a decent chance to drop Acid once defeated. Moreover, if players head to Holt Town in Chalk Peak, they can farm large amounts of Deviants there. This is the best location to hunt Deviant and along with Acid is a great source to farm Energy Links.
How to Build Automated Acid Farm in Once Human
Another method players can use to get Acid in the game is to create an automated Acid Farm. However, this method requiers some work to be set up, and a base relocation might be needed. Automated Acid Farm needs a source of polluted water to function, so relocation of a base to Stardust Polluted Zones might be the best option. Aside from moving a base players will also need access to the following:
- Water Pump
- Osmosis Water Purifiers
- Brewing Barrels
Placing a Water Pump so it collects polluted water is the first step, after which this water is used in Osmosis Water Purifiers. This will produce Purified Water, but more importantly, it also produces Unpurified Acid. Both of these resources are then placed in Brewing Barrels, which will produce Acid after some time.
How to Get Acid Using a Sulphur Chemist in Once Human
Although, the previously mentioned methods are good and will get you Acid, maybe the best way is to use this one. Everything players need to get Acid from this method is a few Advanced Synthesis Workbenches, large amounts of sulphur and some Energy Links.
Luckily, sulphur can be found everywhere on the map, especially in the areas near the shore of Dayton Wetlands. However, to utilize this method a Sulphure Chemist Memetic specialization is required, which can be unlocked at Level 25.
