Can you play MW3 on Xbox One?
It’s also a yes, folks. Players who still have Xbox’s aforementioned previous-generation console will not be left out with this upcoming reboot sequel.
It was even indicated on MW3’s Standard Edition that it’s on cross-gen. This means that if you are planning to upgrade to either of Xbox’s current-gen consoles (or to a PS5), you can still carry over your game from your old console to your new one without paying any extra.
In line with this, those who have played Modern Warfare 2 can carry over the stuff that they had in the previous game to MW3. From Operators to cosmetics, it will still be deemed playable in the upcoming reboot sequel. As for the guns, however, players will have to go through the task of unlocking them again in MW3.
