What’s the Difference Between Diablo 4 Early Access and Open Beta?

Firstly, it’s important to distinguish between the two phases of the beta: Early Access and Open Beta.

The Early Access beta was available to players who pre-purchased the game or received an early access code, and it ended on March 20 at 12pm PT / 3pm ET / 8pm GMT. During this phase, players could experience the game and offer feedback to the developers.

On the other hand, the Open Beta is available to all players and does not require a pre-purchase or early access code. During this phase, players can experience a portion of the campaign, including the Prologue and the entirety of Act 1.

Only Fractured Peaks will be explorable during this time. Players will be able to raise their characters up to level 25, but all characters made during this phase will be deleted before the full game release.
