No, you don’t have to pay a monthly subscription before playing New World. You’ll just have to pay for the full game and you’re good to go. Be reminded though that since the aforementioned DLC has just been released, you have to pay extra ($29.99) on top of the base game’s price. Better yet, you can just purchase its Elysian Edition where both base game and expansion are bundled.
Does New World Have A Game Store?
For those who might not know, Amazon Games’ MMORPG title also has an in-game store that was introduced back in 2021. When it was made known to its player base, the developer highlighted that the items sold within the store are purely cosmetic and provide no gameplay advantages.
Accessing the store is not that much of a handful. Simply launch the game, and it is located on its main menu. It’s atop the tab options between the Character and Settings tabs.
