The Mortal Kombat franchise will be welcoming the latest entry in the series later this year with Mortal Kombat 1. While the name might be confusing for those mistaking it for the original game released back in 1992, this new game is technically Mortal Kombat 12.
The title makes sense considering the game’s story, where fighter Liu Kang will be overseeing a reborn universe with reimagined versions of classic characters in addition to new characters. The game will be coming to several platforms, but is the Epic Games Store on PC included in the list? This guide will answer that question and other supported platforms the game will be coming to.
Will Mortal Kombat 1 be on Epic Games Store?
The answer is yes, Mortal Kombat 1 will be launching on the Epic Games Store for PC. The game will be available on the PC platform at its worldwide release date of Sept. 19, 2023. It will also be playable in its early access period on Sept. 14 for those who pre-order the Premium Edition.
The Epic Games Store will have two editions of the game with Standard and Premium Editions. The Standard Edition will cost $69.99 and contain the base game. The Premium Edition will cost $109.99 and contain the base game, early access, the Kombat Pack, and 1,250 Dragon Krystals.
The Kombat Pack includes a Jean-Claude Van Damme-inspired Johnny Cage skin, early access to six new post-launch characters, and five new Kameo Fighters.
What Platforms Will Mortal Kombat 1 Come To?
Mortal Kombat 1 will also be coming to other platforms at launch. The game will be available on PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
It does not have a limited-time exclusive deal as other Epic Games Store games have done, and will be on Steam at launch. The game will also not be coming to the previous console generation of the PS4 and Xbox One.
