Is FF16 An MMO?

No, Final Fantasy 16 is not a massively multiplayer online role-playing game. It was never meant to be one either, although there have been Final Fantasy MMOs in the past.

Final Fantasy 11 and Final Fantasy 14 have both been MMOs. The latter of the two was even shut down shortly after its 2010 launch, and was relaunched in 2013 as Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn. Both games are still supported at the time of this writing.

What Type of A Game Is Final Fantasy 16?

Final Fantasy 16 is a single-player action role-playing game. That means only one person can play at a time, and there is no multiplayer in the game.

FF16 being an action RPG is actually a departure from the previous games in the franchise, where most of the games have featured strictly turn based combat or a mixture of turn based commands and real-time action. Players will have full control over the protagonist, Clive Rosfield, while fighting enemies in combat.

Players will not have the characters waiting around until a command is issued from a menu in order to attack. The enemies will also not stand around waiting to be attacked, or will have a turn order. The combat is more in the style of the Devil May Cry series where basic attacks are tied to buttons and combos can be executed by combining attacks together.
