How To Unlock the M13B in DMZ

Every season of MW2 has brought a few additions of weapons and skins to the game, but very few are as exciting as the addition of the M13B assault rifle.

The rifle is the successor to the ACR and M13 rifles from the original MW2 and MW 2019, respectively, making it a highly sought-after prize.

While it doesn’t have the highest damage, it boasts an incredible fire rate and virtually no recoil, making it a dangerous weapon to hold on to.

Ways To Unlock the M13B in DMZ

There are three ways to get the M13B in MW2:

• kill The Chemist to complete a Weapon Unlock Challenge in DMZ
• Have the M13B dropped near you by someone who has already unlocked it
• Wait until a Weapon Bundle that includes the M13B can be purchased for CoD points.

Where To Find the Chemist

The first way to unlock the M13B assault rifle is through a Weapon Unlock Challenge. Unlike other weapons, this gun isn’t available through the battle pass, so this is the primary way you will get this weapon.

The Weapon Unlock Challenge requires you to defeat The Chemist, a powerful High-Value Target, in the DMZ game mode and pick up the blueprint for the weapon as loot once he is defeated. If you can exfil with the blueprint in your inventory, the weapon will be added to your Armory.

Upon spawning into a round of DMZ, look on your Tac Map for a yellow circle with a nuclear symbol in its center. This is the Radiation Zone, and The Chemist is always located somewhere in this circle.

He can also spawn anywhere within this zone, so players may have to do a bit of searching, but he can always be picked out of a crowd by looking for the target wearing a yellow hazmat suit.

How To Use Friends To Get the M13B

The second way to unlock the weapon is simply to spawn into a DMZ match with a friend who has already unlocked the M13B. Have them take the M13B into the match as their Insured Weapon, then have them drop the weapon over to you.

Make your way to the nearest exfil point, making sure that the weapon is still in your inventory.

If you successfully exfil with the M13B in your inventory, this will also unlock the weapon for you! This method cuts out much of the hassle of the previous method, but because it requires someone you know to have already completed this difficult challenge, it may not be for everyone.

It can be worth checking on some online forums, as players may be kind enough to drop the weapon for you.

Is There a Weapon Bundle That Includes the M13B?

The M13B is currently not in the Call of Duty store, but it will be at one point. The final method is not one that is available all the time, but it gives you an option if you don’t want to play the DMZ game mode.

The weapon will be featured at some point in a Store Bundle. Simply check the store as it updates and get your CoD points ready, as the M13B will invariably make it into one of the Store Bundles at some point.
