It can be a little tricky, but follow these steps to do it:
- Look at an object
- Press the same button you would to scan (Alt on PC, R1 on PS5, and RB on Xbox Series X|S) and hold that down.
- When the animation for picking up the object ends, release the button.
- This counterintuitive part is what makes you drop it so often.

- Release the button when your glove starts vibrating
- Holding it for longer does nothing. The distance you throw is based on how far down you press the button.

You can’t use this to grab living beings or anything heavy (until you level up this skill). This only works for lighter boxes, crates, and other smaller objects.
