The Helldivers 2 Devs Make a Step in the Right Direction by Asking for Feedback

You must be aware of the chaos if you’ve been on any Helldivers 2 related social media platforms in the last couple of days. Since the drop of the Escalation of Freedom update and Freedom’s Flame Warbond, the players have been overflowing Reddit, Discord, and X with mostly negative reviews and demands. Presumably overwhelmed devs have now offered a more efficient way for Helldivers 2 players to give feedback.

Devs Launch a Feedback Form

On August 8, Baskinator, one of the Helldivers 2 Community Managers, took to Discord and provided the Helldivers 2 players with a direct line for giving feedback to devs. She stated: “In the interest of helping us organize your feedback and suggestions, we have created a form through Dyno for users in our Discord. We don’t want your thoughts and feelings to be lost in the channels, but it is difficult to keep up with the many pings and DMs in the server during busy periods like this”.

The CM posted some submission guidelines as well. According to them, a player can give feedback on a weekly basis, and it should be constructive and concern existing or announced features. If you need in-game support, you can find another link for it, as this one serves only for feedback. Also, when writing your feedback, you should stick to the basic rules of conduct.

Helldivers 2 Players Divided Over the Devs’ Intentions

Most players agree that this announcement is a sign of goodwill. Moreover, they stated they’d gladly fill out the form and wait to see the results. VietBongArmy raved: “Oh I’m definitely filling this out. I’m fed up with the crashes”.

Then again, other players expressed some concerns over this “managed democracy”. Most of all, the biggest concern is that only Discord users can submit feedback. Shyassasain noted: “I’m not logging into Discord via that link just to fill out a feedback form they will disregard just like they disregard all the feedback on Steam, Reddit, and Discord itself”.

Furthermore, this player added: “Arrowhead just need to take the blinders off. “We will delete any feedback that we define as toxic”, ok, what’s defined as toxic? Considering what they define as “Overpowered” is entirely the problem at the moment”.

We’d like to believe that the devs’ decision was truly sincere. Developing the game is no small feat, we truly sympathize with them. Equally important, the players deserve to get a good game. So, unfortunately, for now, all you can do is fill out the feedback form and blindly trust the devs. Hopefully, they won’t let the players down.
