Latest Major Order Will Require Serious Coordination as It Puts Helldivers 2 Players on Both Fronts

Well, Liberty Day is clearly over and it’s time for Helldivers to return to their overpacked schedule. Put down your Liber-tea and join your fellow Helldivers 2 players in completing the nearly impossible Major Order on both fronts. It will take some serious planning for the divers to pull this one off.

The New Major Order Is Quite a Challenge

Upon seeing the MO, some players thought Joel made a mistake. However, Helldivers 2 developers took to Discord and shared more details about the extremely ambitious Major Order.

They noted: “Multiple strategic priorities have arisen, all of high priority. Decryption of confidential data recovered from Automaton Strongholds has identified a high-security database, thought to contain key intel regarding the Jet Brigade. Simultaneously, recent Terminid activity has exposed the Terminid Research Preserve to the threat of external disruption. This security breach must be rectified immediately. Finally, we have reason to believe the Automatons are planning an imminent territorial expansion. We cannot allow the Automatons to expand their territory further”.

Well, to complete this Major Order, the Helldivers 2 players will have to work together and simultaneously fight on both fronts. They have to liberate Matar Bay and hold Gacrux and Pandion-XXIV when the Order expires. And for the cherry on top, the divers will have to defend against 5 attacks from the Automatons. All this in a little less than 6 days, at the time of writing this article.

Helldivers Can’t Agree on an Approach

Helldivers are still trying to come up with an idea of what to do. And, we get it, this MO is a lot. However, some players suggested an interesting approach. Instead of starting on any of the planets in the MO, some players suggested finishing the mission on Phact Bay first.

Empress_Draconis_ stated: “Honestly I have no idea what to do first. I think focusing on Phact Bay for now is the play so bug players can chip away at the bug MOs. And then attacking the bot planets so we at least get intel on the Jet Brigade”.

Many players agreed with this strategy. Also, some suggested ignoring Matar Bay and leaving it for the end. However, the problem is the fact that Matar Bay seems like an obvious starting place, and even at the time of writing this article, around 15k divers are already fighting there.

All strategies aside, Helldivers did agree on one matter. MushedPootato said: “It seems they genuinely don’t want us to win this one”. Yesh added: “I’m thinking they want us to fail on one front to push the story. If I had to bet we’ll succeed on the bugs, maybe liberate Matar Bay, and fail the defenses, leading to another jet brigade incursion or something”.

Honestly, this one’s a doozy. Since the DSS is still under construction, there is no way for Helldivers to communicate a strategy. The only thing we can advise you is to take your Constitution, or something more effective, like the Purifier, and join the biggest group of players you can find. For Liberty and Super Earth.
