If that does not work, the community has offered the following solution:
- Find your game folder and open up the “bin” folder inside. (it usually goes something like C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steam apps/common/Helldivers 2/bin)
- Find the GameGuard folder there and delete it.
- Run helldivers2.exe as an Administrator (right-click on the .exe file>Run as Administrator)
- A new GameGuard folder will be downloaded. Make sure that both GameGuard and Helldivers 2 are whitelisted on your antivirus software.
- Restart your PC.
