The option to customize your vehicles and Hellpods has finally arrived. Read this article to see how to change vehicle patterns in Helldivers 2.
In Helldivers 2, you have a lot to choose from when it comes to customization of your own Helldiver. Apart from the Weapons, you get to choose the Armor you are wearing (each set has its own benefit, but some players pick their armor based purely on appearance), your Helmet, Cape, and even the Player Card (the background behind your Helldiver, during the Loadout phase or the after-mission report). As for your vehicles, they all had the same looks for everyone. But, now, since the release of Patch 1.000.400, the option to modify their appearance has been introduced. So, let’s see how to change vehicle patterns in Helldivers 2.
How to Change Vehicle Patterns in Helldivers 2
To change vehicle patterns, you have to access the Vehicle Customization screen. Head over to your Ship Management terminal and there you will see a new tab, titled Vehicle Customization. Select it you will see a screen with various vehicles and your unlocked patterns listed.
For now, you can change the appearance of:
- Hangar
- Shuttle (Pelican-1)
- Delivery System
- Hellpod
- Vehicle Bay
- Patriot Exosuit
- Emancipator Exosuit
No doubt more will be added to the list when additional vehicles are introduced to the game.
How to Unlock Vehicle Patterns
New vehicle patterns are arriving with Viper Commandos Warbond, on June 13. All players have the default patterns unlocked, naturally, but for additional patterns, you have to unlock Warbonds and spend Medals, just like for most cosmetics in Helldivers 2.
The currently available vehicle patterns are:
- Viper Shuttle (dark green, woodland camo, available in Viper Commandos)
- Viper Hellpod (dark green, woodland camo, available in Viper Commandos)
- Viper Combat Walker (dark green, woodland camo, available in Viper Commandos)
It is safe to assume that more patterns will be added down the line, in future Warbonds.
