Warbonds are one of the key parts of Helldivers 2, with them acting as Battle Passes where players can unlock new weapons, armor, and various cosmetics to use in-game. So far, we have seen them be released on a nearly monthly basis, but so far there has been no announcement or leaks regarding what is coming next, leading some to believe that they could be delayed due to the 60-day roadmap.
The Helldivers 2 Community Manager Twinbeard took to the official Discord server to dispel rumors that the next Warbond had been delayed.
“We haven’t communicated a set interval after changing the cadence on Warbonds, and therefore no date for the next one either.” Twinbeard then clarified that “Someone asked me since there was a rumour it was delayed, and I simply replied that it isn’t.”
The last Warbond that came to Helldivers 2 was the Freedom’s Flame Warbond that followed the Escalation of Freedom update in early August, so many would expect the next one to be announced in the near future, with the 01.001.007 update on the horizon, Arrowhead could be looking to put all of the community’s focus on that rather instead.
While no new Warbond is on the horizon right now, players have a lot to look forward to as Helldivers 2 is set to see one of the largest updates with the 01.001.007 patch, which will see many weapons buffed and the chaotic nature of the game brought back. This comes following Helldivers 2 hitting an all-time low when it fell below 7,000 concurrent players for the first time in its history after months of reactionary updates saw many popular weapons be nerfed and a lot of the soul of the game removed.
