All Helldivers know just how frustrating the game has been since the Escalation of Freedom update, especially since the latest patch. The developers have made promises to fix the issues and the CCO even sided with the players. Well, according to the Community Manager, the changes Helldivers 2 players have been asking for might happen in the near future.
A Community Manager Talks About Possible Changes
Everyone’s favorite Community Manager, Twinbeard, took to Discord and answered some of the player’s burning questions. One player, nrnxgatt, asked: “Have you guys talked about what to do with req slips? How long before a major patch that adds new features? Clans? Have you guys been looking at the ragdoll on diff 10?”.
The Community Manager answered: “Various alternatives for surplus resources are being looked into.
Major patch later, no official ETA for that; minor patch may arrive before that.
Ragdolling is being nerfed in several instances”.
Several players expressed gratitude for Community Managers and other Arrowhead representatives communicating with the community directly. Unfortunately, this isn’t something that happens very often in the gaming industry. One player noted: “Honestly, I am very thankful Twinbeard is transparent and tells us what he can (within NDA)”.
The Lack of a Timeline Annoys the Helldivers 2 Community
Well, unfortunately, many Helldivers 2 players didn’t find this announcement by the Community Manager particularly satisfying, as they still didn’t know what to expect from the future. The biggest problem that the community has is the lack of a timeline. Basically, not giving the players a list of dates of what and when will be changed makes Arrowhead seem like they are simply winging it.
Ok-Education-9235 explained how it seems that Arrowhead didn’t have a plan of action. They stated: “When someone at work asks for something I was assigned to do and I say I’m “looking into it”, that means I haven’t even started on it”.
Another player, Budget_Childhood2605, added: “Imo this means nothing until I/we actually see changes in-game”. They reminded the community that the CEO, Shams Jorjani recently said: “Actions matter”. The fact that the CEO said that gives the players massive hope for the future of their favorite game.
Hellooooo_Nurse- said: “I just hope whatever they do actually works and the game performs like professionals made it. We always go through the we fixed something only to play and it isn’t fixed. Then, we get a hotfix that breaks something else. We’ll see what happens”.
We think that the most important thing is that the devs aren’t giving up. That should be enough proof that this game will have a great future. Also, there have been plenty of leaks lately that might give you a glimpse of what to expect. So, hang in there, take a break if you need to, but rejoin us in the future, for Super Earth.
