New Warbonds means now Primary Weapons and more gear options. The new Polar Patriots Warbond didn’t even have time to cool down, so let’s see the best items to spend your Medals on in Helldivers 2.
You need Medals if you want to unlock new stuff from Warbonds and you’ll need more than a few. New equipment, like Primary Weapons, Secondary, and Grenades is great to freshen up your arsenal and gives you more options in your Helldiving. On that note, a new Warbond is here, with new weapons, armor, cosmetics, emotes, and more. Let’s see what are the best items to spend your Medals on in the latest Helldivers 2 Polar Patriots Warbond.
Helldivers 2 Democratic Detonation Warbond Top 5 Best Items to Get
Polar Patriots Warbond promised some quite impactful new weapons. Especially after all the nerfs most of the weapons got. Unfortunately, this Warbond proved quite different than what was promised, as all new weapons are underwhelming. So, take a look at our short list of the top 5 items in Polar Patriots that we’d recommend, that stand out from the rest. Hopefully, the balancing team will look into these as soon as possible and make them more viable.
1. G-13 Incendiary Impact Grenade
Our best choice in the new Warbond, this Grenade combines the utility (ie, awesome in a pinch) of the Impact Grenade, with horde clearing capabilities of the Incendairy Grenade. Throw a couple of these in a Terminid swarm and prepar for a barbecue. On the top of all this, it can also reliably close Bug Holes/Fabricators.
2. PLAS-101 Purifier
Purifier is basically a mini-Quasar. It uses the same hold-and-shoot mechanic as the Quasar, releasing explosive energy shots. It can shoot up to 15 times before you have to reload, and it is great for both unarmored and armored targets.
3. P-113 Verdict Pistol
Already dubbed the “Desert Eagle of Helldivers”. this powerful sidearm is a lot like the ol’ trusty Senator revolver. Where it difers from “Big Iron” is that it deals sliglty less damage, but it can hold up to 10 shot per clip. We are sure this will be the most popular choice in Polar Patriots, when it comes to style.
4. AR-61 Tenderizer Assault Rifle
This is basically a heavy Liberator. The Tenderizer has a smaller clip size compared to the Liberator (35 instead of 45) but deals more damage with some good armor penetration. This is a great choice for those who find themselves spending whole magazines to clear waves.
5. SMG-72 Pummeler Submachine Gun
The size of thie weapon belies it’s power. Even though it is a SMG, it deals considerable damage. But its main strenght comes from its Concussive Rounds. They will slow down every opponen they hit, eeven enabling you to stun-lock larger targets. Blus, being one-handed has its perks.
What Are the Items in Polar Patriots Warbond Best Used For?
It seems that all the majority of items in Polar Patriots is geared towards Medium-Armored enemies. With the expection of the Incendairy Impact Grenade, all new weapons are a more powerful version of a regular one (of course, with some downsides)
Unfotunately, the Armor sets in Polar Patriots give us no new Perks. This is alredy a touchy subject for a lot of players, and we got no new Armor Perks since Cutting Edge. So you’re not missing out there. On the other hand, these Armors sets look fantastic.
The new Booster help you when you are slowed by those pesky Terminids, so we can expect that it will be used a lot on that front. Automatons are lacking in slowing attacks (for now), so we doubt it will see much use there.
The last Warbond was Democratic Detonation, which promised some explosive weapons. But, unfortunately, everything except the Eruptor proved lackluster, and even the Eruptor got nerfed to teh ground. So we hope that these new weapon will perform better than their predecessors.
