Fortnite Web Shop is Now Live

Fortnite fans rejoice, the official Web Shop is live. The shop in Fortnite is where you get all the awesome skins, Emotes, and other cosmetics. But, you could only access it directly in the game, there wasn’t an official way to check the “today’s shop” from the “outside”. But, all of that changed on August 19. No longer will you have to boot the game up just to check what is offered today, or look for third-party sources, as Epic has finally made an official website, showing you everything that is offered clearly and concisely.

How to Use the Fortnite Web Shop

The Shop is not here only to show you what’s offered. You can now purchase new cosmetics via the Web Shop without having to boot the game up, as well as V-Bucks. Even the ”Support a Creator” option is there.

Accessing the shop is more than simple. Go to the official Fortnite Shop webpage, log in using your Epic Games account (if you haven’t already), and you’re good to go. The items offered are divided into subsections, just like in the in-game Shop. We would love to see the option to apply Filters, so that you could, for example, only look for Emotes or Pickaxes. That may be added in the future.

You use it as usual. Click on the item that you’d like and follow the regular purchase instructions and the item will be added to your Fortnite account.

The Fans Are Thrilled

As you’d expect, the fans are more than delighted with this release. User Brongis9163 on X said: “…This is a great idea to be honest!! I was thinking when would you launch it and now there we are!” and FN_Assist added: “The 3D previews too!? WOAHH”. Other players jokingly say: “…this is NOT going to be good for my wallet” by Novapowerd, and “This gonna make my wallet cries for days” by kuroitsune

Epic Games are on a roll now. First, they enable Fortnite on iPhones (only in the EU for now), and then they make their app available on Samsung devices. And now they make the Shop readily available, without the need to log into the game, for the players’ comfort and ease of access. Who knows what they are planning next?
