The v25.20 Fortnite patch notes update for Fortnite Save the World is now available, and it brings a number of new features and content to the game. Epic Games has released the latest patch notes for Fortnite, and they include a number of new features and bug fixes.
Fortnite Save the World Patch Notes Overview
The most notable addition is the return of the Hit the Road questline, which tasks players with escorting Crackshot and Penny on a journey through the Blasted Badlands. Along the way, players will need to battle against waves of enemies, solve puzzles, and collect rewards.

Birthday Llamas
The first new feature in these Fortnite patch notes is the Birthday Llamas. These llamas contain Heroes and Schematics from all previous Save the World Seasons, so they’re a great way to get your hands on some rare and powerful items. You can earn Birthday Llamas by completing quests, logging in to the game, and participating in events. Make sure to claim your Free Birthday Llama before July 26!
Escort Crackshot
The next new feature is the Hit the Road questline. July 26 at 8pm ET to August 2 at 8pm ET, escort Crackshot and nab the Deciblaster as a reward. This questline tasks you with escorting Crackshot on a journey through the Blasted Badlands. Along the way, you’ll need to battle against waves of enemies, solve puzzles, and collect rewards..
Escort Penny
After helping Crackshot get to his destination, Hit the Road with Penny from August 2 to August 9 to earn the Dinosaur Hero Parasaur Jess! Remember to collect Hit the Road tickets along the way and swap them for a Rad Llama full of four Rad Heroes and five Boombox Weapons.
If you complete the Hit the Road questline, you’ll be rewarded with Parasaur Jess. Parasaur Jess is a dinosaur-themed Hero with some unique abilities.
- Standard Perk: Saurian Instinct
- Abilities heal for 7.2% of max Health when used.
- Commander Perk: Saurian Instinct+
- Abilities heal for 21.5% of max Health when used.
Tales of Beyond
The Tales of Beyond questline is also returning in the v25.20 update. This questline tasks you with helping Lok find and defeat the monster that’s attacked his village. If you complete the questline, you’ll be rewarded with the Paleo Luna Hero.
Paelo Luna
- Standard Perk: Saurian Claws
- Adds 5.5% of current Health to melee weapon damage.
- Commander Perk: Saurian Claws+
- Adds 16.5% of current Health to melee weapon damage.
Jurassic Ken and Archaeolo-Jess
Finally, the v25.20 update also introduces two new Heroes to the game: Jurassic Ken and Archaeolo-Jess. Jurassic Ken is a dinosaur-themed Hero with abilities that boost his damage output, while Archaeolo-Jess is a Hero who specializes in using the Anti-Material Charge.

- Standard Perk: Saurian Fight
- While Shield is depleted, increase Ability damage by 1.2%.
- Commander Perk: Saurian Fight+
- While Shield is depleted, increase Ability damage by 1.6%.
Archaeolo-Jess August 2, 8pm ET
- Standard Perk: Strike Cost
- Increases Anti-Material Charge heavy attack efficiency by 28%.
- Commander Perk: Strike Cost+
- Increases Anti-Material Charge heavy attack efficiency by 128%.
Bug Fixes
In addition to the new features and content, the v25.20 update also fixes a number of bugs. These include fixes for issues that prevented Husks from attacking the objective, caused players to be defaulted to the Plankerton zone, and caused several Hero rows to be invisible.
- Fixed an issue that prevented Husks from attacking the objective if a certain structure was built around the objective.
- Fixed an issue that defaulted players to the Plankerton zone in the Map tab despite current story progression.
- Fixed an issue that caused several Hero rows to be invisible.
- Fixed an issue with the Utility Belt perk that prevented the cooldown reduction from being applied correctly to the Smoke Bomb ability.
- Fixed an issue that caused duplicate voice over audio to play during Eliminate quests.
- Optimized the performance of the Anti-Air Trap.
