A new pirate-themed collab is finally here. Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean joined Fortnite on July 19, and it brought some fine booty. Some new skins directly from the movies have been added, as well as some new (and old) stuff. One of those new features is the Ship in a Bottle Mythic item. Keep reading to see how you can get this new item, and how exactly to use the Ship in a Bottle in Fortnite.
How to Get Ship in a Bottle
As mentioned before, Ship in a Bottle is the newest Mythic item, added in the Cursed Sails event. Getting it is quite easy if you know where to look. To get the Ship in a Bottle, you must go to the new pirate ship that has appeared in Shipwreck Shallows. The ship is full of Chests, and you can find Ship in a Bottle by searching them. Each Chest on the ship has a chance to drop this new item, but we had the best luck in the lowest parts of the ship.
Alternatively, if you happen to eliminate an opponent who had a Ship in a Bottle in their possession, they will drop it and it is free for you to take. Just make sure no other opponents are nearby, waiting to do the same to you.
Fortnite: How to Use Ship in a Bottle
Using Ship in a Bottle is more than simple. Select it from your “quickbar” and use it just like any other item, by pressing the Fire button. This will make a large pirate ship appear and will teleport you to its Crows Nest. From up there, you will have a great vantage point from which to shoot.
This ship itself will “sail” forward for a short while. It will demolish anything it comes into contact with but be cautious. The more it crashes into things, the faster it will disappear. So, for maximum effect, try to summon the ship where the terrain is clear.
