Asking people for a dance has never been easier. Let’s see how to get and use Boogie Bombs in Fortnite.
Fortnite offers a wide variety of weapons and items, from the regular ones (like Assault Rifles, Shotguns, and Grenades) to more wacky ones (like The Bush or Clingers). The great thing about Fortnite is that there are no pre-game “builds”, you have to make do with whatever you find on the map. One such zany item is the Boogie Bomb, a grenade that forces people to dance. So, read on to learn how to use and see how to get Boogie Bombs in Fortnite.
Fortnite: How to Get Boogie Bombs
You can find Boogie Bombs like all other items and gear in Fortnite. Search the usual places where you find new items. Like:
- Chests – The regular loot cache object, scattered about the Island. You can usually find them in Points of Interest.
- On the Ground – In Fortnite, you can find loot scattered all over the map. Known as “floor loot”, you will usually find a couple of items clustered together. Chances are that a Boogie Bomb may be there.
- Supply Drops – Supply Drops are late-game loot containers. They appear as blue boxes with balloons attached to them and contain powerful items. One of those items can be a Boogie Bomb.
Recently Unvaulted
Boogie Bombs have been vaulted in Patch v27.00. But now, from Patch v30.00 in Chapter 5 Season 3, Boogie Bombs have been unvaulted and are available for all Fortnite players. Rumors are that they will be here only for a short while, so hurry up if you want to use this quirky explosive.
How to Use Boogie Bombs
Boogie Bombs are a type of grenade in Fortnite and are used as such. Once you pick up a Boogie Bomb, select it, hold the Target button to aim, and press the Fire button to throw it. But, Boogie Bombs do not deal damage.
Players hit by a Boogie Bomb will stop everything they are doing and start dancing. During that dance, affected players cannot do anything else: shoot, move, build, etc, for five seconds. After those five seconds, they can continue on as usual. Note that the effects will immediately stop if the affected player gets hit by something else.
Boogie Bombs are great for “immobilizing” a group of enemies or for setting up an explosive end to their dancing carriers (with grenades, nukes, missiles, etc.)
