For those of who’ve grown up loving the Final Fantasy series, the term ‘summons’ instantly stirs up a sense of power and awe. The tradition continues in Final Fantasy XVI, but this time around, summons have a different twist, known as Eikons, tied to special individuals, the Dominants. This leads to the status of our protagonist, Clive Rosfield, especially given that his brother, Joshua, is the Phoenix Dominant.

Originally bypassed by the Phoenix Eikon, he eventually turns out to be a Dominant himself. Clive bears the fire of Ifrit, becoming the second Eikon of Fire, while Joshua, his brother, is the Phoenix Dominant, the first Eikon of Fire. The exact circumstances that led to this dual Dominant situation remain shrouded in mystery as of now, but we are itching to discover how it’ll impact FFXVI’s narrative.

This battle has a lasting effect on Clive and the entire narrative of the game, so you do not want to miss it.
Additionally, Clive posseses the ability to take Eikon powers from other Dominates. This leaves a very interesting story element to be explained, and we imagine this will play a major role as the game progesses. Plus, it allows you to collect numerous Eikon powers and become a true force of nature in Valisthea.
