Clive Rosfield – Voiced by Ben Starr
The firstborn son of the Archduke of Rosaria, Clive Rosfield is the hero and main playable character in Final Fantasy 16. As you play, you will see Clive through various stages of his own life. Overlooked as the next heir to the Phoenix’s flames, he instead chooses to dedicate his youth to mastering the blade, going on to exact revenge as a seasoned swordsman.
Clive’s voice actor, Ben Starr, has appeared in a long list of popular movies and TV shows, including Jamestown and the hit Netflix series You. His role in Final Fantasy 16 is one of the actor’s biggest yet.
Joshua Rosfield – Voiced by Logan Hannan
Joshua Rosfield is Clive’s younger brother and second son to the Archduke of Rosaria. As the rightful heir to the Phoenix’s flames, Joshua soon awakens as a Dominant. Despite his position of power, the young boy treats his father’s subjects with warmth and compassion, especially Clive. Though smart, Joshua feels unprepared to wield the Phoenix’s flames, becoming the target of tragic events.
You might recognize Joshua’s voice actor, Logan Hannan, from Hogwarts Legacy, which first launched in February of this year. Hannan voiced several young characters in the Wizarding World title, including Archie Bickle and Lucan Brattleby. Apart from these roles, Hannan also voiced Custard in the English dub of Studio Ghibli’s animated film Earwig and the Witch.
Jill Warrick – Voiced by Charlotte McBurney and Susannah Fielding
Jill Warrick was taken from her home in the Northern Territories and held as a ward of Rosaria. She was raised alongside Clive and Joshua Rosfield, earning a place in their home and family. Despite the Archduke’s efforts to provide Jill with a good life, she was fatefully torn from her adopted family and the Eikon Shiva awakened within her.
Charlotte McBurney, who voices a young Jill, appeared alongside Logan Hannan in A Plague Tale: Requiem, in which she voiced Amicia. As an adult, Jill is voiced by Susannah Fielding, who has held roles in other popular game titles like Diablo Immortal and CrossfireX.
Cidolfus Telamon – Voiced by Ralph Ineson
Simply known as “Cid” to his friends, Cidolfus Telamon is a bit of an outlaw. The former soldier attempts to create a place where Bearers and Dominants can have their freedom, conducting research on life in the deadlands. A Dominant himself, Cid holds the power of the Eikon Ramuh within him, and such power has led him to success in his endeavors.
Cid is voiced by one of the most popular names in gaming today, Ralph Ineson. The English actor recently voiced Lorath Nahr in Diablo 4, having reprised the role after voicing the character in the TV series Book of Lorath. Apart from his roles in game titles, Ineson has also appeared in some of the biggest franchises in the world, including Star Wars, Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, and Guardians of the Galaxy. Ineson is particularly favored by the director Robert Eggers, appearing in his films The Witch and The Northman.
Hugo Kupka – Voiced by Alex Lanipekun
Once a forgotten foot soldier in the Republican Army, Hugo Kupka rose to power following his awakening as a Dominant. Equipped with the power of the Eikon Titan, Hugo became highly successful and influential in politics, widely recognized as the most powerful man in the republic. Though his success has brought him great wealth, he soon learns there is more to the world than money.
While the character’s voice actor, Alex Lanipekun, has appeared in a wide variety of TV series and films, he is most easily recognized for his work as a voice actor in a long list of game titles. Lanipekun played Marcus Randall alongside his Final Fantasy 16 costar Susannah Fielding in CrossfireX. Additionally, he has voiced characters in games like Mass Effect: Andromeda and As Dusk Falls.
Benedikta Harman – Voiced by Nina Yndis
Dominant of the Eikon Garuda and Warden of the Wind, Benedikta Harman developed a stone cold demeanor to match her ruthless talent for swordplay. This earned her a position as one of Waloed’s elite intelligencers, but her true mission is to find the second Eikon of Fire, which eludes her. She soon crosses paths with Clive, who prompts her to face her past head-on.
A notable actress and producer, Nina Yndis voices Benedikta in Final Fantasy 16, but she is best known for her roles in Call the Midwife and Netflix’s Peaky Blinders. While she’s amassed many live-action roles, Yndis has also voiced characters in a wide variety of game titles, from Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga to Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla.
Dion Lesage – Voiced by Stewart Clarke
As Prince of the Holy Empire of Sanbreque and the leader of the most feared order of knights, Dion Lesage is both loved and respected by his people and troops. Having led them to victory on many occasions, it seems Dion has earned their admiration, which is only helped by his Eikon Bahamut. Despite his renown and success, this is not enough to keep his empire safe.
Stewart Clarke voices Dion in Final Fantasy 16, another game title under his belt. While the actor has only appeared in a handful of live-action films and TV series, Clarke is beginning to earn a name for himself as a prominent voice actor in game titles. Some of his projects include Valkyrie Elysium, Horizon Forbidden West, and CrossfireX, in which he appears alongside two of his Final Fantasy 16 costars.
Barnabas Tharmr – Voiced by David Menkin
Having come from nothing, Barnabas Tharmr managed to earn a kingdom with his skill as a swordsman. Despite efforts to end his reign, Barnabas has maintained power with the help of his Eikon Odin, securing control over the entirety of the Eastern continent with an army to rival Valisthea. Barnabas prefers to watch battles from the sidelines, but he’s also known to wield his black blade atop a spectral steed.
David Menkin, who voices Barnabas in Final Fantasy 16, has appeared in a wide variety of films and TV series from hit fantasy shows like The Sandman to children’s series like Blippi. In addition to his live-action roles, Menkin has also voiced a long list of characters in video game series, performing alongside several of his Final Fantasy 16 costars in Diablo 4, As Dusk Falls, and Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.
