The Diablo franchise has been one of gaming’s biggest for a while now, and Blizzard is set for another success with Diablo 4.
While this series was originally a PC only title, Blizzard was ready to spread the love with Diablo 3. The title made its way to PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and even the Nintendo Switch a few years after its original release.
Now that the series has fans from all consoles, many wonder if they can play with their friends, regardless of their console choice, in Diablo 4.
Is Diablo IV Crossplay?
Yes, Diablo 4 will have crossplay.
Diablo 4 will allow crossplay between PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The game will allow multiplayer of up to 4 players. Players will be able to play together with any combination of these consoles via crossplay. There will also be no region lock for multiplayer.
Players should be happy to hear this, save for those who were hoping for a Nintendo Switch version. The fact that Diablo 4 is releasing with crossplay on both last-gen and current-gen consoles means that the possibility for friends to play together is immense.
Given the game’s more open-world structure, Blizzard devs are doing everything possible to give players a memorable group experience. It only makes sense that this includes making sure you can bring along as many friends as possible.

Does Diablo IV Have Crossplatform Saves?
Yes, Diablo 4 does have crossplatform saves.
Diablo 4 will keep track of your progression via a Battle.net account. As long as you link your accounts to the Battle.net account, your characters and progression will be accessible between consoles.
This continues to further Blizzard’s focus on broadening the audience for Diablo 4. Diablo 3 did not feature crossplatform saves, in large part due to the fact that the title was not developed and released in tandem for every console. It’s possible that this feature was easier to implement with concurrent development and releases.
