Disney Dreamlight Valley transitioned from early access into a full release on December 5 and players are wondering if there is a multiplayer. If you have been playing the early access you know that game was strictly a single-player game. Disney Dreamlight Valley is gaining in popularity among Disney fans and gamers alike. Read on and find out if developers made this game into a multiplayer experience.Â
Does Disney Dreamlight Valley have an Online Multiplayer?
Gameloft developers confirmed that multiplayer will be part of the game on its release on December 5, 2023. They announced Valley Verse – a place from which you can visit your friend’s Valleys. There you can admire your friend’s interior and exterior design skills firsthand. You will also be able to exchange items with your friends, helping them with gathered resources or quest items.
One other handy feature is that you will be able to visit Scrooge McDuck’s store in your friend’s valley. So if you are not happy with your daily store options, just hop on to your friend’s Valley and check out their store.
To access multiplayer, you first have to complete the Valley Visits quest, given by Vanellope. All you have to do is talk to her and she will give you the Valley Visit Station to place wherever you want.

- Restore the Valley to Its Former Glory – Free the Valley from the grip of the Forgetting and return Dreamlight Valley to its former greatness by making it your own. In Dreamlight Valley, you can build the perfect neighborhood that is just for you with a fully customizable layout, creative landscaping, and thousands of decorative items. Will you settle on the Beach next to Moana, or call Buzz Lightyear your next-door neighbor in the Plaza?
- Express Your Disney Style – Bring out your inner princess, villain, or anything in between! Assemble unique outfits and decorate your home with thousands of fantastic items. Using the Touch of Magic tool, you can even create your own designs using Disney and Pixar motifs! With the in-game Camera, get ready to snap a sunset selfie with Mirabel, a culinary creation with Remy or simply cherish a moment.
What is Disney Dreamlight Valley and Does it Have any Expansions?
In Disney Dreamlight Valley players find themself on a mythical island that has fallen into Forgetting. It is up to you to help Disney and Pixar characters that inhabit this land and restore the valley to its former glory. To achieve this goal you will have to harvest resources, cultivate food, and prepare meals. All while using magic to help you on your way.
The game’s official launch was on December 5 and it brought with it some free updates for the base game, like introducing a new Villager. Jack Skellington from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas is coming to town.
Besides the Pumpkin King and ValleyVerse, we also got a release of the first DLC: A Rift in Time expansion. Sail to Eternity Isle, explore new Biomes (Ancient’s Landing, Wild Tangle, and Glittering Dunes), meet new characters (EVE, Rapunzel, Gaston, and Jafar), craft Ancient Machines, and more.
DDV is available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, Mac, and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store). From December 5 Apple Arcade users have access to Disney Dreamlight Valley: Arcade Edition across all iOS systems. Note that Apple does not allow any in-game purchases. That means you will have to go without the Premium Shop or Star Path (DDV’s version of a Battle Pass).
