Blizzard sometimes gives us events in Diablo 4 that grant us a boost, be it better items, XP, Gold, etc. This Thanksgiving week we got the Mother’s Blessing event, which gives everyone a boost in XP and Gold they get. Perfect for getting to Level 100, or for leveling your alts. You have probably noticed a new icon, where usually your buffs and debuffs are. We are here to clarify what it means so stick around. Let’s see what is that Mother’s Blessing buff in Diablo 4 that you got.
What is Mother’s Blessing Buff in Diablo 4?
The Mother’s Blessing Buff in D4 grants you a boost of 25% to your XP and 50% Gold from monsters. It signifies that the Mother’s Blessing Bonus XP Event is live and ongoing. You can find the Buff icon next to your Potions, where your temporary buffs are usually.
When is the Diablo 4 Bonus XP Event?
A new Mother’s Blessing event will start on June 10, part of the Diablo 4 Anniversary event. It starts on June 10 and lasts for 10 days (that is until June 20), players will have quite a lot of time to fully make use of this boost in their Gold and XP gains.
Is the Mother’s Blessing Buff Bugged?
There was some trouble with the previous versions of Mother’s Blessing buff. It showed 25% instead of 35% and it was a mistake, it should be 35% but, for some reason, we only got 25%. The developers were aware of this. The official statement was: “The team is working on this right now & we plan on a quick hotfix this afternoon to knock this up to the CORRECT 35% bonus. The tooltip may require a client patch but we can get the backend all fixed up.”

Is Mother’s Blessing Bug Fixed?
Yes, the Hotfix has been released. On November 20, 2023, a Hotfix 5 was released in which the developers addressed the issue, quote: “Fixed an issue where the Mother’s Blessing event was only granting 25% instead of 35% bonus experience and gold. This now grants the correct amounts.” The Developers also noted that the tooltip in-game will continue to say 25% instead of 35%, but the correct amount is being granted to your Character.
This event’s Blessing will be a 25% XP and a 50% Gold increase.
