A new event is live in Sanctuary. Read this article to learn all about the March of the Goblins event, and the anniversary of Diablo 4.
Diablo 4 is the latest installment of the popular Diablo franchise, which started in 1996/1997. Over all these years, Diablo became THE isometric action RPG. Sure, other similar and great games appeared but Diablo is the go-to hack-and-slash game. Last year the fourth installment was released for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, and now a special anniversary event is beginning. So, let’s see what is the March of the Goblins event in Diablo 4, and what will we get from this anniversary event.
Diablo 4 Anniversary Event
Diablo 4 has just hit its first anniversary, and a special event is here to celebrate it. Diablo 4 was released on June 5, 2023, and Blizzard has prepared an anniversary event for this year. Each day from June 6 until June 12, you can claim a free cosmetic gift from the Shop. If you happen to miss out on some of them, these gifts will be available until June 20. But, there is more.
March of the Goblins
The main part of the anniversary celebration is the March of the Goblins event. All over Sanctuary, Treasure Goblins will begin to appear in greater numbers. You can expect the increased activity of these little buggers from June 6 until June 13.
Additionally, their treasure bags are rumored to be filled with better loot than usual. You can also look forward to the increased number of Greed Shrines that you can find on your travels. Lastly, while exploring Dungeons, you will occasionally find pairs of Treasure Goblins, while some rumors state that even larger packs of Goblins may appear.
Mother’s Blessing
But that is not all. Mother Lilith blesses all of her children once again, and this time it is a special anniversary blessing. This time, you will get a multiplicative boost to your XP gains (by 25%) and Gold gains (by a stunning 50%). As mentioned, you can combine this buff with other Gold and XP boosts. This Blessing will affect both your Seasonal and Eternal characters.
Mother’s Anniversary Blessing will last for 10 days. It starts on June 6 and lasts until June 16. This is a great opportunity to progress through the Battle Pass or level up your characters. Be sure to use it.
