Diablo 4 Season 4 How to Get Stygian Stones and Summon Tormented Bosses

Diablo 4 Season 2 Duriel

A new resource has been introduced in Season 4 of Diablo 4, so keep reading to see how to get those Stygian Stones and how to use them to summon Torment Bosses.

Season 4 is here, and it brings a whole lot of new content. The focus is on the new mechanic for modifying and upgrading your gear, but that is not all. We also got a new Boss “difficulty”, called Tormented Bosses. They are incredibly hard to beat and require special summoning materials. Those materials are called Stygian Stones, so let’s see how you can get them in Diablo 4 Season 4, and how you can use them to summon Tormented Boses.

How to Get Stygian Stones in Diablo 4 Season 4

Stygian Stones are the main resource needed to summon Tormented Bosses. You can get some Stygian Stones by entering and clearing The Pit of the Artificers. You have to be in World Tier 4 and gather up some Runehsards in order to enter The Pit.

If you defeat the final boss before the timer runs out, you will be rewarded with Stygian Stones. The amount depends on the Tier of The Pit that you just finished. Usually, you will get one or two.

Additionally, if you complete some Season Journey quests (in Chapters 6 and 7) you will be rewarded with cashes containing some Stygian Stones.

How to Summon Tormented Bosses

In Season 4 of Diablo 4, Blizzard introduced Tormented Bosses, a more powerful version of Uber Bosses. They are summoned in the same way as Uber Bosses but require more materials to do so, and you also need to offer up a couple of Stygian Stones.

To summon the Tormented Bosses, do everything the same way as you would for a regular Uber Boss. The only difference is that you can choose between “versions” (represented by arrow symbols next to the Boss’ names). You will notice that the Tormented version requires more summoning resources and Stygian Stones.

Tormented Bosses are Level 200 Bosses and are incredibly hard to beat. But, defeating them will reward you with better loot and possibly Uber Uniques, so the risks are more than worth it.
