Are you unsure if Diablo IV is replayable or not? Don’t worry, this article will answer that question for you.
Coming hot off the Blizzard press, Diablo 4 is the latest instalment in their dark fantasy action RPG franchise. In Diablo 4 players have the chance to battle the minions of hell, corrupt humans, demons, and even Lilith herself. But after you’re done with all the fighting, is there a way to replay it? Or is that it, and there’s no way to get back and do it all over again? Let’s find out.
Can Diablo 4 Be Replayed?
Let’s get the most obvious out of the way first. You can replay Diablo 4 by creating a new character and playing through the campaign on them. Outside of that, you are currently unable to replay the game on a character that has already beaten the campaign.
In Diablo 3 there was a concept of Rebirth, that allowed players to roll back an existing character to level 1 for a fresh season. This essentially allowed players to replay the game if they so choose. If such a mechanic returns to Diablo 4, that could be a potential way to do it.
Even older Diablo games had the players replay the campaign on higher difficulties, but that concept was phased out.
The goal of modern aRPG games is to reach the endgame and then make your character as powerful as possible. This is done through grinding, getting to max level, and sheer luck with the drops. With that in mind, the concept of playing through the “levelling” part of the game is something players tend to avoid, if possible.
Seasons and Seasonal Characters
Seasonal play in Diablo 4 requires players to create a new character. This is an opportunity to play through the campaign again, though there is also the option to skip it altogether. It’s important to note that the season’s theme and mechanics are absent if you choose to play the campaign again. They only become available after you’ve finished the story portion of Diablo 4.
