Is Diablo 4 on Game Pass?

Microsoft Activision finalized the acquisition of Blizzard in the middle of October, and it raised many questions about the future of both companies. One of those is the matter of games on Xbox Game Pass, so read on to see when is Diablo 4 coming to the popular subscription service.

Game Pass is Microsoft’s subscription service for Xbox, providing games for a monthly fee. It is quite a popular service, as it allows fans to try out lots of games for a fraction of the price. And now, since Blizzard merged with Microsoft, fans are wondering which Blizzard games will be on Game Pass. More specifically, when will Diablo 4 be on Game Pass?

When Will Diablo 4 Be on Game Pass?

In short, yes it is. From March 28, 2024, millions of Xbox Game Pass subscribers can join the fight against the demonic hordes invading Sanctuary. On February 15, 2024, Xbox officially announced that Diablo 4 will be the first Activision Blizzard game coming to Game Pass. And that is only the beginning: “This is only the start of Xbox players being able to enjoy Activision and Blizzard games on Game Pass.” The Season of the Construct lasts until April 16, so that gives new players plenty of time to experience everything Season 3 has to offer.

As for the exact time, there is no official information. Based on the previous Game Pass releases, we can expect that Diablo will be around 5pm PT/8pm ET/12am GMT (the following day). However, Diablo 4 updates usually occur at 10am PT/1pm ET/5pm GMT. So, both of these options are possible, we will update this section as soon as new info appears.

How to Install Diablo 4 via Game Pass?

Thankfully, Microsoft Xbox has given us an official guide for setting up Diablo via Game Pass:

• Open the Xbox App on your PC and make sure you are signed in with your Microsoft account tied to your Game Pass membership. Then click on Diablo IV and then the Install button.
• Click “Install Battle.net” when prompted and complete the installation. (If you already have Battle.net installed, you’ll skip to the next step automatically)
• You’ll be prompted to connect your Battle.net account to your Microsoft account. If you already have a Battle.net account you can log in to complete the connection, or from here you can create a Battle.net account to make the connection.
• Once you have downloaded Battle.net and connected your accounts, you can complete the installation of Diablo IV!

More Blizzard Games on Xbox Game Pass

At the moment, we do not know what Activision Blizzard’s games are next in line for Game Pass. We do know they are coming, since Xbox stated: “There will be even more to play as we begin to fulfill our commitment to offer Activision and Blizzard games with Game Pass, both new releases and classic games from its legendary catalog. This is only the start of Xbox players being able to enjoy Activision and Blizzard games on Game Pass – we look forward to sharing more soon.” We presume Overwatch 2 and Diablo 3 will be next in line, but that is just our speculation.
