Diablo 4 players can find the Caged Heart of Spellbreaking by defeating Brutal Malignant monsters. These enemies are found throughout the world, though the best method is in Malignant Tunnels.
Defeating these monsters a first time will leave behind a heart that must be activated, and will revive the monster. A Brutal Caged Heart will drop upon the second defeat, and can randomly be the Caged Heart of Spellbreaking as long as you are playing the Sorcerer class.
It can also be crafted at the Cormond’s Wagon by spending 35 Devious Malignant Ichor and 35 Vicious Malignant Ichor.
What Does the Caged Heart of Spellbreaking Do?
The Caged Heart of Spellbreaking is a Brutal Malignant Heart that is only available for the Sorcerer class during Season 1. The heart can be inserted in one of the Jewelry slots, instead of Gems, but requires the Jewelry gear to support Brutal Malignant Hearts.
This defensive bonus allows Sorcerers to gain between 20-40% resistance to a specific element for five seconds after taking elemental damage.
