The first step in turning off a car alarm is to locate the car whose alarm is set off. This car will be marked by a red exclamation mark on the map.

Once you find the noise, approach the front of the car and push the interact button to remove the battery. By doing this, you should stop the alarm and prevent zombies from swarming your location.
